Soil water tensions and potassium fertilization in cherry tomato cultivation

The aimed to evaluate the accumulated water consumption, growth characteristics, chlorophyll index, soil pH and productive characteristics of cherry tomatoes cultivated in pots under tensions potassium doses a protected environment. experiment was carried out greenhouse 12 dm3 soil, dystrophic Oxisol. experimental design randomized blocks 52 fractioned factorial arrangement, with five availabilities (4, 14, 24, 34 44 kPa) (0, 125, 250, 375 500 mg dm-3) four blocks. consumption indicates that greatest restrictions growing development were for kPa. tension around 22 kPa provided greater flowering stage. fertilization dose dm-1 observed largest masses roots, leaves stems. highest dry mass tomato fruits occurs 28 284 dm-3. Deficiency excess reduced fruit production, as well deficit soil.
